Sight-Seeing in Nepal - Kakani and Nuwakot

General Information

Kakani a small settlement in the Nuwakot district in central Nepal is especially famous for magnificent view of the valley. The district of Nuwakot is mainly popular for historical Nuwakot palace and Devighat at the confluence of theTadi and Trishuli Rivers. Village of Kakani is easily accessible only 32km north of Kathmandu, this is an interesting hike through lush green forests of oak, rhododendron and pine. The village is also home to a memorial park to the victims of Thai Airways International Flight 311.
