Peak Climbing in Nepal - Ramdung Peak Climbing

General Information

Ramdung Peak(5925m) is a strenuous trekking peak situated south of the Tesilabtsa Pass which borders Khumbu and the immense Rolwaling valley.Climb to this hidden peak begins with a trek to Rolwaling valley, a newly opened trekking trails in the Himalayan kingdom. The peak itself is not very high, but the approach from Na covers a good distance and most parties two high camps for the ascent. It offers the panoramic views of Mount Everest, Langtang, Menlugtse and Gauri Shankar.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Guided tour in Kathmandu and preparation for trek (B)
Day 03: Drive to Barabise approximately (860m) 5 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 04: Barabise to Dolangsa (2510m) 5 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 05: Dolangsa to Tingsang-la (3319m) 4 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 06: Tingsang-la to Bigu Gompa. (2310m) 5 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 07: Bigu Gompa to Chilangka. (1930m) 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 08: Chilangka to Gongar Khola. (1430m) 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 09: Gongar Khola to Simigaon. (2000m) 4 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 10: Simigaon to Dovan. (2850m) 5 hrs (B.L.D).
Day 11: Dovan to Na Gaon. (4180m) 4 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 12: Na Gaon to Ramdung Base Camp.
Day 13: Acclimatization at Ramdung Base Camp.
Day 14: Ramdung Base Camp to High Camp.
Day 15: Climb of Ramdung Peak and return to Base Camp.
Day 16: Base Camp to Kabuk at Tso Rolpa (4560m) 5 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 17: Tso Rolpa to Drolambau Glacier near. Approximately (5400m) 5 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 18: Go over Tashi Laptsa Pass (5755m) and camp at Khumbu area. 8 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 19: Khumbu area to Thame (3800m) 5 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 20: Thame to Namche Bazaar, (3440m) 5 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 21: Namche to Lukla (2800m) 5 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 22: Fly Lukla to Kathmandu. (B)
Day 23: Shopping and rest in Kathmandu. (B)
Day 24: Final departure to Airport (B)
