Makalu Base Camp Trekking

General Information

Makalu Base Camp trekking is an unfrequented area of Nepal with unspoiled terrain which makes this trek a classic on its own. The trek goes high up to 5,100m deprived of modern facilities and amenities but at the same time blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty. Walking north up the Arun River to Sedua and Num, you get to the upper Barun Khola valley for a close look at Makalu (8,463m). The second part of the trek is very difficult and almost impossible without previous experience. Spectacular views of snow covered giant Himalayan peaks including Mt. Everest, Makalu, trekking through eye-catching villages, different community with majority of Rai, Limbu and Sherpa, exploring around Arun valley and riversides.

Day 01: Arrival and transfer to hotel.

Day 04: Khandbari to Chichira. Tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 05: Chichira to Num. Tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 06: Num to Seduwa. Tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 07: Seduwa to Tashi Gaon. Tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 08: Tashi Gaon to Kauma. Tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 09: Kauma to Mumbuk. Tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 10: Mumbuk to Ripock Kharka. Tent camp (B.L.D)
