Sight-Seeing in Nepal - Bandipur and Gorkha

General Information

Gorkha district situated 140 km far from Kathmandu city is home of legendary Gurkha soldiers. Some 300 years back, Nepal was scattered into 50 tiny states and Gorkha was one of them. King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the founder of modern Nepal united the Himalayan kingdom into one garland. His Gorkha palace lies on top of a hill at an altitude of 3281 ft. Bandipur is one of the small villages in the district of Gorkha. It offers the panoramic view of the central Himalaya and the Marshyangdi valley; a couple of natural sights like limestone caves, an endless tunnel.
