Sight-Seeing in Nepal - Chovar, Pharping and Dakshinkali

General Information

Located 22 km from the city on the southern part of the valley past Pharping village is the Hindu temple of 'Dakshinkali'. The temple is dedicated to goddess 'Kali' and is flocked with pilgrims on Tuesdays and Saturdays when animal sacrifices are offered. On the way back from temple, you will stop at Chovar gorge. The gash in the hills was made b y Manjushree to drain out the lake which once covered the valley.
