General Information
The 'Indigenous Peoples Trail' offers unique living exposure to one of the most culturally diverse areas of Nepal and scenic trekking at low elevations from 3,146m to 533m. The trail presents an incomparable and natural blend of cultural, linguistic and ethnic diversity coupled with breathtaking Himalayan Panoramas stretching from Dhaulagiri and Annapurna in the west to Numburchuli and Kanchenjunga. The 'IP Trail' allows you to stay overnight in private homes in traditional villages far from commercialized tourist trails with a chance to enjoy the traditional folk dances and music performed by local people in colorful traditional dresses.
Trip Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Guided tour in Kathmandu and preparation for trek (B)
Day 03: Drive to Dhunge and start trek to Thulo Sailung. Overnight at Community Lodge nearby Kholakharka (3146m) 7 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 04: Acclimatize at Kholakharka. This day enjoy sunrise and morning views of the Himalaya panorama from Thulo sailung while also visiting sano sailung sacred caves, Tiger rocks, Chhortens and Rajveer Gompa and forest after lunch evening Sherpa cultural programmed. Overnight at Community Lodge Kholakharka. (B.L.D)
Day 05: Kholakharka to Surkey (1850m) 5 hrs overnight at home stay. (B.L.D)
Day 06: Surkey to Doramba (2025m) 4 hrs overnight at home stay. (B.L.D)
Day 07: Doramba to Khandadevi (1985m) 4 ½ hrs overnight at home stay. (B.L.D)
Day 08: Khandadevi to Hiledevi (1980m) 4 hrs overnight at Monastery lodge. (B.L.D)
Day 09: Hiledevi to Lubughat (533m) 4 hrs overnight at home stay. (B.L.D)
Day 10: Lubughat to Nepalthok and drive to Kathmandu (B.L)
