View Detail...Helambu trek is the perfect short trek nearby Kathmandu Valley, which is the home of the Hyolmo. The greatest height reached during the trek is about 3650m.The area is known for its sweet apples and artistic Buddhist monasteries and is popular as a Buddhist pilgrimage site. The normal trailhead starts off at Sundarijal and goes past Chisopani, Yolmo, Kutumsang, Magin Goth, Tharepati, Malemchigaun and Yomo, Tarke Gyang. Besides the Hyolmo culture of high mountain people, the trek offers panorama of green rhododendron and bamboo forests, majestic waterfalls and beautiful snow-capped mountains.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Full day sightseeing around of the Kathmandu valley (B)
Day 03: Drive to Sundarijal and start trek to Chisapani (2195m) 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 04: Chisapani to Kutumsang (2470m) 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 05: Kutumsang to Thare Pati (3600m) 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 06: Thare Pati to Tarke Gyang (2560m) 8 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 07: Tarke Gyang to Sermathang. (2620m) 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 08: Sermathang to Melamchi (850m) and drive back to Kathmandu.(B.L)
