Hiking in Nepal - Nagarjun Hill Hiking

General Information

Nagarjun hill also known as Jamacho Peak(6,300ft) at north-west of Kathmandu is only 5km hike on foot reachable in 2 and half hours. The hill is mostly popular for Nagarjuna’s cave where ‘Acharya Nagarjuna’ performed meditation, besides there are also other caves of Buddha, Mahasiddhas. The hike to this hill is quite steep and you are required to climb about 754m, as the stupa is on the top of the Nagarjuna hill at 2128m.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Half an hour drive to hiking starting point and 3 hours hike to Nagarjun Hill explore the area and back to hotel. (B)
Day 03: Final departure on your own destination. (B)
